Following a successful appearance at Expo Licensing Latin America, the Mexican animated kids and teen-based property Crack & Bonky boasts several new additions to its roster of licensees. Among them is Adness Ent., which will introduce the brand in the U.S. and Asia. The newest Latin American licensees include Doobalo S.A/ de C.V. for socks, PIC S.A. de C.V. for sleepwear and underwear, and Manny Distribuciones S.A. de C.V. for coin purses, nylon wallets, markers, retractable erasers and pencil sharpeners.
Crack & Bonky follows the adventures of two friends from another dimension called Limbo, who learn how to travel through inter-dimensional doors to visit our world. When Crack accidentally hits his head forgets how to get back home, the duo becomes stuck in our dimension and have humorous adventures as they attempt to mimic human behavior and to understand human emotions.
The property originated on the web at www.chikabum.com, gaining popularity through the site’s downloadable wallpapers, short animations and ring tones. A weekly Crack & Bonky comic strip will begin running in the Sunday kids section of Mexican National newspaper Reforma in January of 2008.
