CINAR Picked To License Arthur In Canada

CINAR Corp., producer of the animated Arthur TV series, has been appointed Canadian licensing agent for the property. In addition to the books and videos, which have sold in the millions, author/illustrator Marc Brown’s beloved aardvark can be seen on a number of educational toys and products.

At this month’s Gift Show in Toronto, Arthur’s Canadian master toy licensee, Danawares, will showcase a new line of Arthur toys.

The Arthur television series, co-produced by WGBH/Boston, is broadcast across Canada on CBC as well as on TVO. In French, it is aired on Radio-Quebec.
