February 18, 2003 by Ryan Ball divider image

Cartoon Network and development partner Macrospace are debuting a new suite of mobile content for enhanced multi-media phones at the GSM Conference. The content, which will include Java games, polyphonic ringtones and colorful wallpapers, will be bundled and distributed in a branded Cartoon Network channel environment.

The multi-level Java games include Yogi Bear’s Pic-A-Nic, The Dexter’s Laboratory Security Alert and The Flintstone’s Grocery Hunt. Users can also download a variety of Screensavers, Wallpapers and polyphonic ringtones, including classic themes from Top Cat and Hong Kong Phooey.

The service is now available in the United Kingdom directly from Cartoon Network’s website (www.cartoonnetwork.co.uk). Distribution will expand shortly to mobile operator portals and major Internet sites around the world.

Macrospace has developed the services and will handle content development, hosting, provisioning and customer care.
