As part of their 2018 ”Colors of Caring” campaign, the Care Bears brand is teeming up with a new generation of cuddly character in a bright and cheery apparel collaboration with Pusheen — the lovable pudgy gray cat introduced in a comic for Everyday Cute created by Claire Belton and Andrew Duff (Everyday Cute).
Care Bears x Pusheen will launch April 28 at Los Angeles-based pop culture boutique JapanLA and Pusheen’s official online store, Hey Chickadee. The collection will includes tees, dresses and more ranging from size small to 4X.
“Not only are we very excited to welcome Pusheen to the Care Bears family, she is one of my personal favorite characters, who fits so lovingly into the ethos of Care-a-lot,” said Jenn van Haaff, Care Bears Brand Manager at American Greetings Entertainment. “It’s extra special that we get to work on a line with inclusive sizing, as we always feel there’s a Care Bear for everyone, and now this apparel line reflects just that.”
“Care Bears have been such an inspiration for me and others around the world. I’m so happy to see this adorable collection come together,” added Claire Belton, who created Pusheen in 2010 with Andrew Duff.
A Care Bears x Pusheen launch event will be held at JapanLA (7320 ½ Melrose Ave., Los Angeles), on Saturday, April 28 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fans who attend this first peek at the collection will also have a chance to win giveaway prizes and get a free gift with purchase.
