DreamWorks’ upcoming animated adventure Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas will set sail amid a sea of promotional tie-ins. Among the companies partnering with DreamWorks Consumer Products to support the movie’s July 2 release are Baskin-Robbins, Burger King Corp., General Mills, Hewlett Packard, M&M’s Brand, Valpak and Speedway SuperAmerica. The multi-million dollar deals will give the film a presence in more than 50,000 retail locations nationwide this summer.
Burger King restaurants will offer a four-week kids meal program, featuring Sinbad collectible premiums at more than 8,500 locations nationwide. The program will continue the five-picture alliance announced by DreamWorks and Burger King Corp. in 2001.
Baskin-Robbins will dedicate exclusive Sinbad flavors in approximately 2,400 stores nationwide. Themed products will include the Deep Blue Menace Sundae and Sinbad’s Triple Punch Sherbet.
Meanwhile, General Mills will cast off their multi-picture partnership with DreamWorks by incorporating Sinbad imagery on millions of packages of Big G Cereals, Totinos, and Pop Secret.
