Online kids channel Toon Goggles (www.toongoggles.com) has released a free iPhone and iPod app now available in the Apple App Store.

The app gives viewers  access to a fun and engaging experience at the free COPPA-compliant online kids’ channel and its rich library of more than 500 hours of kid-friendly programming. Custom designed for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, the Toon Goggles app is compatible with iOS 4.0 through iOS 5.0 and allows for streaming over 3G as well as Wi-Fi.

“We are thrilled to be adapting our kids’ portal to this latest technology, just in time with the release of the newest ‘next generation iPad’ and excited to be making an extensive library of truly safe, pre-screened entertainment and educational programming available to even more children and their parents in a new portable format,” said Stephen Hodge, executive VP of new media.

Launched in 2011, ToonGoggles.com is a free portal where children can enjoy an ever growing library of entertaining programming that is pre-screened and determined to be safe and age appropriate for children under the age of 13. Hundreds of content producers from around the globe are currently supplying animated features, programs, series, clips and trailers to Toon Goggles’ rich library that children can enjoy and parents can feel good about.
