Animation fans who want to get a peek at DreamWorks’ upcoming CG features can check out the new websites for Shrek 2, which comes out May 21, and Shark Tale, slated for an Oct. 1, 2004, release. Both can be accessed at www.dreamworks.com.
The Shrek 2 site provides details about the story and characters, and includes trailers, e-cards, a memory game, an online coloring book and information on Activision’s upcoming game based on the sequel. Additions will include an image gallery, video clips and something called "Behind the Fairytale."
The page for Shark Tale is simply a teaser site that introduces the characters and the voices behind them. The film stars Will Smith, Robert De Niro, Renée Zellweger, Angelina Jolie, Jack Black, Martin Scorsese, Peter Fail, Michael Imperioli, Vincent Pastore, Doug E. Doug and Ziggy Marley in the story of a fish who becomes a hero when he is mistakenly credited with killing the son of a shark mafia boss. The pic will be followed in the summer of 2005 by the studio’s African adventure/comedy Madagascar, featuring the voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock and David Schwimmer.
