Canadian computer animation house Mainframe Ent. has teamed up with New York-based Animation Collective to jointly market web design and flash animation services for television, film, home video and the internet. The deal marks the first new venture for Mainframe under the direction of recently appointed CEO Rick Mischel.
Mainframe brought computer animation to children’s television with the groundbreaking series Reboot and is currently working the CG Spider-Man series for MTV and animated home video releases for Mattel’s Hotwheels toy brand.
Animation Collective has recently completed both the Fox Kids Saturday morning website for 4Kids (www.foxbox.tv) and the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles website.
Under the terms of the agreement, Mainframe and Animation Collective will together promote and market both companies in consideration for work-for-hire. In addition to pre-production, production and post-production of flash animation, the newly-formed coalition will provide website design and graphic design for a variety of promotional materials.
