FUNimation Counts Down New Anime for ’09

FUNimation Ent. will be announcing new anime titles for 2009 with an online event dubbed ‘New Show A-Go-Go.’ The 10-day countdown to the new year will kick off on Monday, Dec. 22 and will feature one acquisition announcement each day leading up to New Year’s Eve. The news will be available at www.funimation.com/newshowagogo.

FUNimation Ent., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Navarre Corp., is a leading distributor of Japanese animation for the U.S. home video market. The company also manages a full spectrum of rights for most of its brands across broadcasting, licensing, production and Internet distribution. The company recently launched its programming partnership with online video service Hulu (www.hulu.com), which hosts installments of such animated favorites as Shikebane Hime, Junk Alley, xxxHOLiC, Shuffle, Peach Girl, Slayer, Black Blood Brothers, Blue Gender, MoonPhase and Mushi-shi.
