David Lynch Directs Moby’s Animated Video

You can always count on eccentric indie director David Lynch to come up with projects that captivate and intrigue audiences worldwide. The latest project from the man behind cult classics such as Blue Velvet, Dune, Wild at Heart, Twin Peaks and Mulholland Dr. is a haunting black-and white animated video for Moby’s latest release ‘Shot in the Back of the Head.’ The project centers on a man’s doomed love affair with a woman’s severed head.

Lynch, who used to draw a popular comic titled The Angriest Dog in the World back in the 80s, is also good friends with the famous electronica star. On his blog, Moby writes, ‘I send him the music and said, ‘please do whatever you want.’ So he sat down and drew some animation that is very dark and beautiful. David Lynch is my favorite film director, and I’m really happy to have him as the first video director on ‘Wait for Me.’ ‘ Moby’s new album will be released on June 30.
