A couple new trailers featuring digital animation have made their way to the web. In addition to a fresh look at DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming Bee Movie, we get an advance peek at the prehistoric thriller 10,00 B.C. from Independence Day director Roland Emmerich.
Sated for release on Nov. 2, Bee Movie is co-written and co-produced by Jerry Seinfeld, who voices the role of Barry B. Benson, a recent college graduate who wants to do more with his life than make honey. Venturing out of the hive, he meets a florist named Vanessa (Renee Zellweger) and decides to sue the human race for stealing honey from bees. The film’s all-star cast also includes Chris Rock (Madagascar), John Goodman (Monsters, Inc.), Patrick Warburton (The Emperor’s New Groove) and Megan Mullally (Will & Grace). Not to be confused with the Hammer classic One Million B.C., which featured animation effects by Ray Harryhausen and made a star of Raquel Welch, Warner Bros.’ 10,00 B.C. is the epic tale of a young mammoth hunter who journeys through uncharted territory to secure the future of his tribe. The trailer shows CG-animated mammoths, large prehistoric birds saber-tooth tigers and a host of other visual effects created by the likes of The Moving Picture Company and Double Negative.
