If screen vixens Drew Barymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu weren’t animated enough for you in the over-the-top, big-screen version of Charlie’s Angles, you’ll soon be able to catch them in ink and paint action at http://www.animatedangels.com/.
Featuring the voice of John Forsythe, who provided the voice of Charlie in both the original TV series and the feature update, Charlies Angels Animated Adventures will bridge the first hit film and this summer’s sequel. The six, two-minute animated cliffhangers take the sexy super spies from Vegas to Mongolia and parts unknown as they follow the trail of a missing U.S. Marshall. The series promises to capture the essence of the film and incorporates visual references from the movie into its storyline.
The webisodes were written by Full Throttle associate producer Stephanie Savage and directed by Frank Paur. The production team also includes producer Paul Fairchild and exec. producers Dwight Caines, Jason Yim and Kevin VanHook. Bernard Chang provides the character designs.
The first installment will hit the web on Tuesday May 13. Viewers will then be able to catch a new adventure every Tuesday leading up to Full Throttle‘s opening on June 27.
