It’s a big week for animated TV series on DVD this week, with both new shows such as The Super Hero Squad Show and classics like The PJs arriving on disc.

The PJs: Season 1 (Lionsgate, $19.98), presents the first 24 episodes of the stop-motion series, which ran two seasons on Fox and one season on The WB from 1999-2001. Starring the voice of Eddie Murphy, The PJs was executive produced by stop-motion animator Will Vinton of The California Raisins fame.

More current fare includes Dora the Explorer: It’s Haircut Day! (Paramount, $16.99), Ben 10 Ultimate Alien: Power Struggle (Warner Bros., $19.97) and The Super Hero Squad Show, Vol. 4 (Shout! Factory, $14.93), all featuring recent episodes from those ongoing programs.

For visual effects, there is The Green Hornet (Sony, $28.95 DVD, $34.95 Blu-ray, $49.95 3D Blu-ray and DVD). Directed by Michel Gondry and starring Seth Rogen, this adaptation updates the classic radio show and 1960s TV show.

Other releases this week include  Curious George: Plays Ball (Universal, $16.98), Pocoyo: Let’s Party (NCircle Entertainment, $12.99) and Wow Wow Wubbzy: Saves the Day (Anchor Bay, $14.98).
