Rejoice in the Release of ‘American Dad, Vol. 6′ on DVD

Get in line, Seth-heads — the most recent release from the Seth McFarlane-Fox animation alliance is arriving this week with the release of  American Dad, Vol. 6 (Fox, $39.98).

The three-disc box set includes all 18 episodes from season five, including “Rapture’s Delight.” Bonus features include deleted scenes and audio commentaries.

From the classics side of the aisle comes Captain Planet and the Planeteers: Season One (Shout! Factory, $29.93). This series was green before green was cool and aired in 1990-91. With a package made from 100 percent recycled materials, bonus features include a behind-the-scenes look at the series called Your Powers Combined: The Story Of Captain Planet and original concept art.

Also out this week is the 3D theatrical feature Gulliver’s Travels (Fox, $29.98 DVD, $39.99 Blu-ray and DVD combo pack, $49.99 3D Blu-ray and DVD combo pack), starring Jack Black.

Other animated releases include the anime series One Piece Season 3: Fifth Voyage (FUNimation, $49.98), Shaun the Sheep: The Big Chase (HIT Entertainment, $14.98) and Superman Animated Series: A Little Piece of Home (Warner Bros., $14.97).
