U.K.-based media group Entertainment Rights Plc. has acquired exclusive television and DVD distribution rights to Hasbro’s animated television series Transformers Armada. The deal, made with Warner Strategic Marketing division Rhino Home Video, includes international television (excluding North America) and worldwide VHS and DVD (including North America).
Entertainment Rights has successfully secured broadcasters for Transformers Armada in more than 70 countries worldwide including Sky One and GMTV in the U.K., Teletoon in France, Cartoon Network and Telecinco in Spain, Fox Kids in Italy and Cartoon Network in Australia. The action-packed toon currently airs in the U.S. on Cartoon Network six times per week.
Transformers Armada joins Entertainment Rights’ portfolio of popular children’s properties that includes Postman Pat, Basil Brush and Merlin the Magical Puppy.
