A lot of classic characters are arriving in this week’s delivery of home entertainment releases.

It doesn’t get more classic than Tom & Jerry: Fur Flying Adventures, Vol. 1 (Warner Bros., $14.97), collecting 14 classic cartoons — many of them directed by William Hanna and Joe Barbera themselves. Included episodes include Guided Mouse-ille,  Neapolitan Mouse, O-Solar-Meow, Timid Tabby, Pet Peeve, That’s My Mommy and Robin Hoodwinked. Other featured shorts include Barbecue Brawl, Happy go Ducky, Hic-cup Pup, Little Quacker, Rock ‘N’ Rodent, Pup on a Picnic and The Vanishing Duck.

Kids into trains will be demanding tickets for Chuggington: Let’s Ride the Rails (Anchor Bay Entertainment, $16.98), collecting six episodes of the Disney Channel preschooler series.

Also out this week is Marvel Animation’s The Super Hero Squad Show, Vol. 3: Quest for the Infinity Sword (Shout! Factory, $14.93), collecting seven episodes of the popular adventure cartoon. Kids also will be clamoring for Curious George: A Bike Ride Adventure (Universal, $16.98), while anime fans are on the lookout for Dragon Ball: 4 Movie Collection (FUNimation, $34.98)
