Classic Media and Radio Shack have teamed up to offer the beloved holiday specials Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman on DVD through the retailer’s 4,600 stores this holiday season.

Both animated specials were produced by Rankin Bass, with Rudolph first airing in 1964 and Frosty in 1969. Both have become classics revisited by generations of children and adults each holiday season.

Radio Shack will support the promotion with in-store counter displays.

“We are very enthused to be working with RadioShack,” said Christian Gordon, VP of promotional marketing for Classic Media.  “This program unites one of the leading electronic retailers with two of the most popular holiday TV specials of all time, giving The Shack’s customers two more great gift options and the chance to share the magic of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman over the holidays.”

“Watching these shows during the holidays has become a great American tradition,” said Scott Young, Radio Shack’s chief merchandising officer. “We are very pleased to work with Classic Media, to bring these two timeless classics to Radio Shack stores so that families can keep this holiday tradition alive.”
