Warner Bros. Home Video will release the animated movie Superman: The Last Son of Krypton on Feb. 3, 2004. The featurette is comprised of the first three episodes of Superman: The Animated Series, which was produced by the same team behind the Emmy-winning Batman: The Animated Series and aired on Kids’ WB! in the late 90′s.

Superman: The Last Son of Krypton follows the Man of Steel’s life from his infancy on Krypton through his boyhood in Smallville and his first adventures as Daily Planet reporter Clark Kent in Metropolis. Eventually he crosses paths with the evil Lex Luthor, who plans to sell his Lexo-Skel Suit 5000 to terrorists.

The film features the vocal talents of Tim Daly (TV’s Wings), Dana Delany (TV’s China Beach), Clancy Brown (TV’s Carnivale) and Malcolm McDowell (Star Trek VII).

Bonus materials include character bios, Portrait of a Hero: How to Draw Superman, the Escape from Planet Krypton DVD challenge game and trailers. It runs 61 minutes and will retail for the suggested price of $14.97.
