18-Disc Family Guy Pack Coming

August 20, 2007 by Ryan Ball divider image

Fox Home Entertainment is sure to have Family Guy fans drooling for its upcoming 18-disc collection of 90 episodes and extra features, which is set to arrive at retail in plenty of time to make holiday wish lists. In addition to installments from the volume 1-5 collections, Family Guy Freakin’ Party Pack will offer the straight-to-DVD feature Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, a ping-pong set and poker accessories when it debuts on shelves on October 30.

Created by Seth McFarlane, Family Guy debuted in 1999 and was cancelled in 2003 when it failed to attract a significant audience in the shadow of The Simpsons. Less than two years later, it was back in production due to support from its dedicated fan base and stellar DVD sales. Only a property with that kind of track record at retail could warrant such an ostentatious release as this upcoming party pack.

Bonus materials to be found in the Family Guy Freakin’ Party Pack will include 24 deleted scenes from season three, audio commentary on select episodes, storyboards, guest-star interviews, a voice recording featurette and other featurettes not currently available on any other DVD. Retailing for $149.98, the set will also come with 100 Family Guy-themed poker chips and two decks of card, in addition to the themed table tennis set.
