13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo Leads New Video Releases

A lost chapter in the saga of Scooby-Doo leads off this week’s new home video releases.

The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo: The Complete Series (Warner Bros., $19.98) features all 13 episodes on two discs from the unique mid-1980s take on the animation franchise. This series has Scooby-Doo and Shaggy inadvertently free 13 ghosts from a Tibetan temple, and chase them across the globe in a bold effort to recapture them. The series features the voice and likeness of the late horror master Vincent Price, as well as appearances by Scrappy-Doo and a boy named Flim-Flam.

Also out this week is the visual-effects extravaganza Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (Fox, $29.98 DVD, $39.99 Blu-ray Combo Pack), based on the popular series of books.

Other animated releases include Ben 10 Alien Force: Vol. 7 (Warner Bros., $14.98), Madeline’s Great Adventures (Vivendi Entertainment, $12.99), Naruto Uncut: Season 3, Vol. 1 (VIZ Media, $49.95) and Let’s Grow: Safety First (HIT Entertainment, $14.98)
