In what must be a pre-Labor Day weekend flurry of new releases at the DVD stores today, fans can today get their hands on The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers DVD (widescreen anamorphic version) as well as the Dragon Ball Z Movie 8: Broly the Legendary Saiyan.
The DVD release of TLOR: The Two Towers, the second chapter of Peter Jackson’s epic trilogy based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s beloved book series, should get everyone excited about the grand finale of the series, scheduled for a theatrical release on Dec. 17. This two-disc set features a top-notch selection of extras, including two documentaries on the making of the movie, a short film by Sean Astin (The Long and Short of It), Emiliana Torrini’s Gollum Song music video, eight featurettes originally created for lordoftherings.net, an exclusive ten-minute behind-the-scenes preview of TLOR: The Return of the King, as well as exclusive online content DVD-Rom features. Rated PG-13, this Warner Home Video release is listed for $59.98.
Meanwhile, for something completely different, anime fans can take home the eighth Dragon Ball movie, titled Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan. The plot of this 1993 toon centers on the arrival of a new Saiyan warrior on Earth, who has a power level of 10,000.
