She-Ra’s Second Due in Sept.

Navarre Corp’s BCI and Entertainment Rights in the U.K. announced that they will release the second and final season of the He-Man spin-off series She-Ra on Sept. 4. The remaining 28 episodes will be offered in a six-disc set distributed under the Ink & Paint brand for the suggested retail price of $39.98.

Etheria, a planet scarred by war and strife, is in need of a hero and She-Ra, He-Man’s warrior sister, answers the call. With the help of some magical allies’and her brother from time to time’she leads a rebellion to free her homeland from the oppression and tyranny of Hordak and his Evil Horde. In this second season, new warriors from the kingdom of Bright Moon appear to help thwart new villains emerging from the darkness of the Fright Zone.

Special DVD features will include commentary from Tom Sito and Dori Littell-Herrick on episode 83: ‘She-Ra Makes A Promise,’ and Lou Scheimer, Erika Scheimer, Tom Tataranowicz and Dori Littell-Hericwith will discuss on episode 85: ‘Sweet Bee’s Home.’ Also being included is third part of The Stories of She-Ra, Princess of Power, a documentary featuring new interviews with the show’s producers, writers, directors and vaiouls expert. Other bonus materials will include a promotional image gallery, a model cel gallery of Hordak and the villains, a character profile gallery, trivia, two collectable art cards by acclaimed comic artists Leinil Francis Yu and Colleen Doran, 28 scripts on DVD-ROM and storyboards and a script for an unproduced episode.

Val Staples, the owner of www.he-man.org and publisher of the recent Masters of the Universe comic., consulted with BCI on the project and provides extra content. The special features are produced by entertainment writer Andy Mangels, a best-selling novelist and author of Animation on DVD’The Ultimate Guide.
