Newly established, Hollywood-based content creation house phuuz ent. inc. and Santa Barbara, Calif.-based production/distribution company Foothill Ent. Inc. have partnered up to extend the business and creative reach of both organizations globally.
phuuz was formed in 2003 by Emmy Award-winning producer/director Eric Radomski, former Warner Bros. Animation production vp Ken Duer and former LEVEL13.NET (Film Roman’s Internet entertainment site) VP/GM Jay Francis. The company’s mission is to develop original properties for video games, wireless technologies, DVD and the Internet, as well as television, film, comic books and other ancillary markets including toys, fashion, advertising and music.
Foothill was established in 2000 by entertainment attorney Greg Payne and international distribution specialist Jo Kavanagh-Payne to act as executive producers and global distributors of children’s and family entertainment.
phuuz’s Francis comments, "In establishing the phuuz footprint we realized that our market and our customers are truly global. We quickly realized that we needed to ally ourselves with an organization that knew the international creative and financial marketplace as well as the necessary players. Given that Greg has already been representing us legally since our formation, it was an easy transition to have both Greg and Jo also help solidify our global reach, particularly in Europe. We think Foothill Entertainment is the perfect fit for the established long term goals of phuuz."
Under the partnership, Foothill will seek international financing and distribution opportunities for programs created and developed by phuuz. In return, phuuz will serve as a creative resource for Foothill. Payne will continue to act as outside legal advisor for phuuz and its founders.
