Elmo Aardvark Babe Releases CD

On the heels of Elmo Aardvark Vintage Cartoon Soundtracks comes Modern Music from Outer Space, the first audio CD from sultry songstress and fellow Snappytoons cartoon star VaVa LaVoom.

The release features pop music and songs composed by veteran cartoon thespian Will Ryan, who’s voice character work includes Scrooge McDuck, the Beagle Boys and Wille the Giant in House of Mouse. His songs have been recorded by the Pointer Sisters, Joanie Sommers, Diane Schuur and Patti LaBelle, as well as a slew of famous cartoon characters.

"It was an enjoyable challenge," says Ryan. "We had to come up with a fresh new sound to match the youthful intergalactic vitality of the artist – that voluptuous, velvet-voiced vision of verve and vivacity, VaVa LaVoom!"

Anyone familiar with the weird, wacky musical world of famed ukulele-strumming Elmo Aardvark will need no introduction to VaVa LaVoom, whose actual vocals are provided by actress/singer Diane Michelle. And while top session players provide most of the instrumental backing on the disc, Elmo Aardvark himself provides the ukulele strumming heard on the title track, Modern Music from Outer Space.

Both Modern Music from Outer Space and Elmo Aardvark Vintage Cartoon Soundtracks are now available on CD from Audible Records at www.CDBaby.com.
