Disney Classics Hit the Vault

Disney feels its animated features are too precious to end up in the $5 bin at some video store. That’s why the House of Mouse makes DVD and VHS releases available for a limited time before putting them back into the studio vault. This round of lock-ups includes six films that will no longer be available for purchase as of Jan. 31, 2003.

In addition to Beauty and The Beast Special Edition, which was recently added to the National Film Registry by the National Film Preservation Board, Walt Disney Home Ent. is pulling Peter Pan Special Edition, Peter Pan in Return To Never Land, Cinderella II: Dreams Come True, The Little Mermaid II: Return To The Sea and Beauty And The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas. Each film will eventually be re-released when Disney feels the timing is right.
