It’s time to log on and go back to the castle as id Software and Activision release a free online version of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Rated “M” for Mature, the standalone game does not require the original Return to Castle Wolfenstein and is now available for downloaded at www.castlewolfenstein.com.
Developed by Splash Damage Ltd. and executive produced by id Software, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory enlists players into five soldier classes to do battle across multi-level WWII campaigns. Players gain skills and promotions, construct strategic assets and master weapons ranging from tank-mounted machineguns to mortars. Unique environments range from dense foliage to open deserts, and every distinctive mission requires a different strategy for victory.
Featuring multiplayer support for up to 32 players, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is a test of communication and teamwork on the battlefield. In addition to objective and campaign modes, the game introduces a team-based Last-Man-Standing game mode, where squad-mates cooperate to ensure their team has the last surviving man on the battlefield.
