Video game publisher THQ Inc. has unleashed the latest title in a series of games based on the Evil Dead cult film trilogy. Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick for PlayStation 2 features actor Bruce Campbell reprising the role that made him an icon for horror fans worldwide. The horror/adventure game was developed with full support of creators Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert and Campbell.
In Evil Dead: A Fistful of Boomstick, players to assume the role of chainsaw-armed hero Ash, who must fend off hordes of Deadites with several weapons including a shovel, a gatling gun and a shotgun. Game environments include all-new Evil Dead locations as players attempt to save the town of Dearborn from the influence of the Necronomicon ex Mortis, aka the Book of the Dead.
The game also features DVD bonus materials including a special behind-the-scenes look at Campbell’s collaboration with THQ on the game.
