Just in time for The Simpsons’ buzzy 500th episode, which is scheduled for Feb. 19 on Fox TV, the show’s fist video game is a getting a much-anticipate revival. The Simpsons Arcade Game, which was introduced by Konami more than two decades ago to game parlors, will now be available for Xbox Live on Feb 3 and PlayStations Network on Feb. 7 ($9.99, rates for ages 10-up).

Among the game features: 1-4 players can compete locally and online, a one-life Survival mode and a never-before-seen Japanese version of the game, classic flyers and posters and a characters guide. Two words: Ay Caramba!

The 500th episode of the show will feature a guest voice gig by WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange as Homer’s and Marge’s new neighbor after The Simpsons are kicked out of town by the angry residents of Springfield.
