Spanish animation studio Vodka Capital and Televisa Home Ent. have announced a strategic partnership and co-pro deal for the new property called Bugsted. Targeting kids, age 8 to 100, the property will be available as a 13 x one-minute mini-show and a 100-level iOS/Android App.

“With Jelly Jamm broadcast in over 150 countries we have demonstrated our capabilities in developing international kids entertainment brands,” says Victor M. Lopez, Vodka Capital’s CEO. “Given our experience in interactive and gaming, we decided to develop Bugsted as a new model for launching kids IPs quickly to market in close partnerships with TVs and key licensing partners from day one.”

In Bugsted, the player/viewer has to guide mutated bugs that have arrived on earth by mistake back to the moon. The gaming app offers addictive and engaging game play comprised of obstacle challenges and physics based games while the mini-series offers comedic insight into the irreverent little bugs and their obsession of getting back to the moon.

As part of the strategic partnership, Televisa will be the premiere FreeTV broadcaster in Mexico and will serve as the property’s licensing agent. Bugsted is scheduled to launch in the spring of 2013. For more info, visit www.vodkacapital.com.
