Video game publisher Ubi Soft Ent. announced that recording artist and film star Eve will lend her voice to a main character its highly anticipated action title XIII. The multi-talented performer will play Major Jones, a beautiful and mysterious operative who helps players unravel mysteries in the game, which is scheduled to release on all platforms in Fall 2003.
XIII is a stylish, first-person, conspiracy-driven shooter thriller that employs cel-shaded graphics in paying homage to its graphic novel roots. Players assume the role of a secret agent with complete amnesia, whose struggle to find clues about his/her identity is interwoven with sinister plots against the U.S. government.
Eve’s character proves a valuable ally in collaborative mode. Players will need to call upon her assistance in several sticky situations. Other gameplay modes include stealth, all-out action and multiplayer.
Philadelphia-born Eve exploded onto the music scene with her critically acclaimed, platinum debut album, Eve: Ruff Ryder’s First Lady. Her current album, EVE-OLUTION, produced the No. 1 single, “Gangsta Loving.” As an actress, her credits include the blockbusters Barbershop and XXX. She is slated to star in her own UPN sitcom this fall and will begin lensing The Woodsman with Benjamin Bratt and Kevin Bacon this month. XIII marks her video game debut.
