Gamers who want fun on the run will no doubt be lining up to buy Nintendo’s new Game Boy Micro when it ships to retail on Sept. 19. The miniaturized version of the Game Boy Advance will come in both silver and black versions retailing for $99.99.
Game Boy Micro measures 4 inches wide, 2 inches long and 0.7 inches deep. Weighing in at 2.8 ounces, it rides comfortably in a shirt pocket but promises all the gaming power of previous Game Boy Advance models. It features a bright, 2-inch screen and plays all Game Boy Advance games. Owners can even swap out three different faceplates to personalize their units.
Faceplate options for the black Game Boy Micro will include sleek silver, orange flames and green camouflage. Those who purchase the silver one will be able to choose from slick black, dark blue "ammonite" and ladybug on a large, pink gerbera daisy, depending on mood.
