In a continuing effort to expand its global network, 3D graphics developer NDL has formed a partnership with Seoul-based reseller Gamebase. As master reseller for NDL, Gamebase will promote and support multi-platform licenses of NDL’s flagship product, the Gambryo graphics engine and toolkit, throughout the Asian and Australian market.
Headquartered in Chapel Hill, N.C., NDL creates flexible 3D graphics software used by such leading game developers and publishers as Firaxis, Microsoft, Mythic Entertainment, Blue Fang and Irrational Games.
Gamebase president J.Y. Park explains that Gambryo "perfectly interfaces with 3ds max and Maya and supports many other features that game developers want and need. We have seen an increase in Asian game development and anticipate substantial industry growth as we expand our relationship with NDL as a long-term partner."
Among the companies using the Gamebryo engine for their games are Bethesda Softworks, Codemasters, Electronic Arts and Vivendi Universal games in the US, and Nexon Corporation and Hanbit Soft in Korea. For more information on Gamebase, see www.gamebase.co.kr.
