Midway Brings Classics to Consoles

Midway Games Inc. is bringing more than 20 old school titles to next-generation game consoles with Midway Arcade Treasures. Scheduled to ship this fall, the release promises hundreds of hours of classic gameplay and includes such arcade favorites as SpyHunter, Gauntlet, Defender and Joust.

Gamers will have the option of playing the games in either one-player or two-player format. Added DVD content features a history of many of the classic hits and interviews with creators and developers of the games.

Other included old school titles are Paperboy, Rampage, Marble Madness, Robotron: 2084, Smash TV, Joust 2, Bubbles, RoadBlasters, Blaster, Rampart, Sinistar, Super Sprint, 720 Degrees, Toobin’, KLAX, SPLAT!, Satan’s Hollow and Vindicators.

Midway Arcade Treasures, like all Midway releases, will be available for play on all major game platforms including PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube and Game Boy Advance.
