Empire Interactive has licensed interactive videogame rights to the upcoming martial arts flick Bulletproof Monk. The game, which is being developed by U.K.-based Mucky Foot Prods, is scheduled to be available nationwide on all major console and PC platforms this holiday season.
Licensed from MGM Interactive, the game will follow the premise film, which will hit theaters next month. Based on the comic book published by Flypaper Press, the movie stars Chow Yun Fat (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) as a mysterious monk who travels the globe protecting an ancient scroll that holds the key to unlimited power. In searching for a protégé to take over the task, he finds an unlikely candidate in Sean William Scott (American Pie, Evolution). Lion Rock Prods, headed up by director/producer John Woo and Terrance Chang, is producing.
