Eidos, Giant Snap Up LEGO Star Wars

Video game publishers and developers Eidos and Giant Interactive Entertainment Ltd. have acquired distribution rights to LEGO Star Wars for all countries except Japan. The game will be released in April 2005 for PlayStation 2, Xbox, PC and Game Boy Advance.

The LEGO Star Wars game is based on LEGO’s Star Wars-branded toy line and recent big-screen prequels Star Wars–Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars–Episode II: Attack of the Clones and the eagerly awaited Star Wars–Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, slated for worldwide release in May 2005.

Under an agreement between LucasArts and Giant Interactive, LEGO Star Wars is currently being developed by Traveller’s Tales for PlayStation2, Xbox and PC. Amaze Ent. is developing the Game Boy Advance version.
