When the Electronic Arts video game Dead Space 2 hits on Jan. 25, it will do so alongside Dead Space: Aftermath, an animated feature on DVD and Blu-ray, reports Variety.

The project is being produced by EA and Anchor Bay Entertainment, with Film Roman handling the animation duties.

This isn’t the first animated Dead Space project. In 2008, an animated project called Dead Space: Downfall was released in conjunction with Dead Space: Extraction for the Nintendo Wii.

Mike Disa is supervising director on the new feature, with Joe Goyette producing and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein of the Gotham Group serving as executive producer.

Here’s the trailer to the anime-style production.
