Corus TV and LEGO Launch New BIONICLE Games

August 26, 2009 by Ramin Zahed divider image

Beginning this Monday (Aug. 31), Corus TV and LEGO Canada are launching a new BIONICLE videogame campaign on YTV.com. Under the Glatorian Legends banner, this six-weeks-long program will allow kids to play two new video games’Prepare for Battle and Arena Magna.

Prepare for Battle uses new augmented-reality technology, which allows the gamer to combine real-world and computer generated content by using a web cam with Flash animation. A printed marker is also needed to activate the program and recognize the user. Arena Magna solely relies on CG-animated technology.

The games will be introduced on YTV’s Saturday morning cartoon block Crunch by program host Andy this Saturday at 9 a.m. (ET). Kids will be encouraged to download their printed marker via YTV.com or www.ToysRus.ca/LEGO, free of charge.
