Change4Life Touts Active Video Games

A U.K. healthy lifestyles campaign that drew fire from the video game industry for ads painting games as unhealthy is set to unveil new ads touting the virtues of video games that promote physical activity.

The ads from Change4Life will urge parents to ensure their kids get 60 ‘active’ minutes a day and will focus on games in which players need to move about, such as Wii Fit, reports the website MCV.

The offending advertisement drew strong criticism from the U.K. video game industry, with Sony even stating it was considering legal action due to the use in the ad of a game controller resembling its PlayStation equipment.
