Stars Come Out For Lion King IMAX Launch

To celebrate the IMAX and large format release of The Lion King, Walt Disney Pictures is throwing a star-studded gala at Loews Lincoln Square Theater, 1998 Broadway at 68th St. in New York City on Nov. 24 at 4:00.

Joining the film’s directors, Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff, and producer Don Hahn will be celebrities Jerry Seinfeld, Liam Neeson, Natasha Richardson, Chazz Palmintieri, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Tony Randall, Paula Zahn, Lorne Michaels, Joan Allen and more. Timon and Rafiki, characters from the film, will also be in attendance, as will Ang Lee, director of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and the upcoming feature The Hulk.

The Lion King will be released on IMAX and other large format venues nationwide on Dec. 25.
