‘Postman Pat’ Film Gets Release Date
Iconic children’s character Postman Pat will make his big screen debut in the U.K. on May 24, 2013. The stereoscopic 3-D CG-animated Postman Pat: The Movie will hit theaters thanks to Icon Film Distribution, Lionsgate U.K., Classic Media and Rubicon’s RGH Entertainment.
The film take on Pat is being directed by Mike Disa (Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil) from a screenplay written by Kim Fuller and long-time Postman Pat TV series producer Annika Bluhm. The voice cast will feature Stephen Mangan as Pat with Jim Broadbent, Rupert Grint and David Tennant. Robert Anich and Miles Horst are producing for RGH, with Ceri Barnes and Annika Bluhm for Classic Media. RGH’s Randa Ayoubi and David Corbett and Classic Media’s Eric Ellenbogen and Doug Schwalbe serve as exec producers.
