American production company Pelagius Entertainment is teaming up with India’s Protein Entertainment to develop an animated feature film titled Hot Dogs, according to Variety.
The trade states the companies have $50 million in private equity funding from India for development and production of feature films and TV programs.
Max Botkin wrote the script for the movie, which will be made in stereoscopic 3D and is set to begin production early next year.
Joe Fries, Bob DeMars, Natalie Khoury are the producing partners for Pelagius, while Protein was founded by Nandish Domlur and Sanjee Gupta. Domlur founded Paprikaas, the Indian animation studio recently sold to Technicolor.
