New ‘Despicable Me 3’ Trailer: It’s Good to Be Bad

A new spot has arrived for Illumination Entertainment’s Despicable Me 3 — rocketing into theaters June 30 through Universal Pictures — and things are getting even crazier.

The spot opens with Gru’s less than ideal mother (paging Dr. Freud…) before whisking us off to his long-lost twin brother Dru’s palatial villain pad. While Dru is busy tempting Gru back to the dark side with extremely fun toys behind Lucy’s back, the Minions are locked up as little yellow jailbirds, and the girls take in some local color.

Also, there are several explosions and some very cute pigs. See for yourself below! You can check out the previous trailer here.

Directed by Kyle Balda and Pierre Coffin, Despicable Me 3 features the voices of Steve Carrell (Gru and Dru), Kristen Wiig (Lucy), Trey Parker (Balthazar Bratt), Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier and Nev Scharrel. Ken Daurio and Cinco Paul wrote the script. Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy serve as producers.
