Animation producer Max Howard (Igor, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron), writer/producer Kirsty Peart (The Hero of Color City, Thomas the Tank & Friends), Munich’s Papa Loewe Filmproduktion and Torsten Poeck will work on a new animated feature about a runaway cow, reports Variety.

The bovine adventure is called Cow on the Run and is inspired by the true story of an industrious cow who smashed through an electric fence and eluded her captors in the Bavarian hills. The producers are working with Gut Aiderbichl animal sanctuary in Bavaria, where Yvonne now lives in peace and far away from the slaughterhouse.
