Among the new projects to catch the eye of Animation Magazine at this year’s Cartoon Movie is a CG feature film in the works titled Jumping Green Things from independent Swedish producer Assorted Nuts Animation Studios. The family adventure tale about three unlikely heroes was previewed at the festival of European feature animation last week. It will go into full production this August and will be completed in August 2005.
The peaceful world of the Jumping Green Things is threatened when the village’s only defense, The Great Rock of Green, is stolen. Three reluctant volunteers, Meany, Tiny and Whiny, are chosen to recover it and undertake a quest that will test their courage, friendship and ingenuity.
Targeted for an international theatrical release, Jumping Green Things will be produced in English and later dubbed for other markets.
Assorted Nuts Animation Studios is located in Karlstad, Sweden. The company is dedicated producing animated feature films primarily aimed at children for worldwide release.
