Robinson, When Marnie Was There centers on a young girl who is sent from her foster home in the city to a sleepy seaside town one summer, where she spends her days dreaming among the marshes, considering herself a sort of outsider in the world. Her life changes when she meets Marnie, but their unique friendship is soon threatened by mystery.
