20th Century Fox has upped the ante in the animated feature film game, announcing Monday plans to release five animated movies a year in 2017 and 2018.

With both Blue Sky Studios and DreamWorks Animation allied with the studio, that means the burden will be split between those two houses. The deal would see both producing more films than any other studio. Pixar and Disney now make about one film per year, while Sony is about the same.

Historically, DreamWorks Animation has been the most prolific studio with about two releases a year, and three in 2010.

No new titles or concepts were announced, only dates. Here’s Fox’s current animated release plans through 2018:

  • July 17, 2013 — Turbo (DWA)
