Four to Voice Owls in Guardians of Ga’hoole

Zack Snyder has cast Sam Neill, Geoffrey Rush, Hugo Weaving and David Wenham to voice the lead roles in the 3D animated feature Guardians of Ga’hoole.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is being produced by Animal Logic in Sydney, and also will feature the voices of Emily Barclay, Abbie Cornish, Emilie de Ravin, Ryan Kwanten, Jay Laga’aia, Miriam Margolyes, Helen Mirren and Jim Sturgess.

The film is about a young owl enthralled by tales of the great winged warriors who saved all of owldom from the evil Pure Ones.

A Warner Bros./Village Roadshow Pictures film, Guardians of Ga’hoole is being set for release in Australia on Dec. 9, 2010.
