Disney Unveils New Poster, Trailer for ‘John Carter’

This week, Disney treats us to a new poster and trailer for its much-anticipated first quarter sci-fi epic John Carter.

Directed by Oscar-winning Pixar veteran Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo, WALL.E), the film is set on the mysterious planet of Barsoom (Mars) and is based on the famous adventure novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs. The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins). The film opens in theaters on March 9.
