Having conquered the small screen, Phineas and Ferb is getting ready for its big screen closeup.

Disney Channels Worldwide president and chief creative officer Gary Marsh said Disney is developing a feature film version of the popular series that will be a combination of live-action and animation, reports Deadline.com.

Heading up the develoment is Sean Bailey, Disney’s head of production.

Created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, Phineas and Ferb has become a big hit since it debuted in 2007 on Disney Channel and currently airs on Disney XD. The studio has singled out the show as one it wants to take to the next level, and as such has launched a talk-show spinoff titled Take Two with Phineas and Ferb. A feature-length animated TV movie is set to air next summer on Disney Channel.
