Bulletproof Monk Gunning for Anger Spot

April 17, 2003 by Ryan Ball divider image

While pundits are predicting that Sony’s Jack Nicholson/Adam Sandler comedy Anger Management will prove bulletproof at the boxoffice this weekend, MGM is hoping its comic book adaptation, Bulletproof Monk, has the firepower to grab the No. 1 spot.

Featuring effects by Boy Wonder visual Effects, Blur Studio, Eyetronics and The Effects Group, Bulletproof Monk stars Chow Yun-Fat (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) as a Tibetan martial arts master who recruits a street punk (Seann William Scott) to be his successor in protecting an ancient scroll with mysterious powers.

The film was produced by action maestro John Woo, along with Terence Chang and Charles Roven. Paul Hunter directs from a script by Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris.
